Sacramento, CA’s Yes on Measure L Sac Kids First
In 2022, Sacramento voters elected to establish a children’s fund that will provide children and youth in the city with a variety of services including mental health programs, youth job training, early childhood education, substance abuse prevention programs and summer and after school programming. The fund will set aside a portion of the general fund every year in an amount equivalent to 40% of the revenue from the city’s cannabis business tax (approximately $10 million in 2023).
